Alabama Governor Robert Bentley, Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, and Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam proclaim April 11, 2011 National Healthy Schools Day and healthier schools for children and personnel. In 2012, governors in the eight states of EPA Region 4 will be asked by Children's Environmental Protection Alliance (CEPA) Director Nancy Swan to sign National Healthy Schools Day proclamations and may be the first EPA Region in the United States to do so. EPA Region 4 includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and 6 Tribes.
