Physicians for Social Responsibility Environmental Health Institute published an article on the 12th Report on Carcinogens and question why the report was delayed four years.  Also of concern was the influence of industry, "The report is also an important reminder of the power of a vested industry to influence science." and provided links to further information.    U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius released the 12th Report on Carcinogens (download here ) on June 10, 2011. (Press Release) (Federal Register Notice)

The Report on Carcinogens (RoC) is a congressionally mandated, science-based, public health document that is prepared for the HHS Secretary by the National Toxicology Program. http://ntp.niehs.nih.gov/ntp/roc/twelfth/roc12.pdf

The report identifies agents, substances, mixtures, and exposure circumstances that are known or reasonably anticipated to cause cancer in humans.

Children's EPA agrees with the following blogger, Jennifer Sass’s Blog   Despite Industry Pressure, Government Cancer Report Finally Released

What we really need to prevent this from continuing to happen is a chemical regulatory law that works to ensure safe use of chemicals BEFORE, not after they are sold to us. I hope you can support reform of our Nation's chemical law, called TSCA (more information here).
